“There’s more to dressing today- more charm, more dazzle, more DELIGHT!” says the point of view section of this Vintage Vogue magazine from 1976 and I’d agree. The word delight is really on my mind these days. I’m trying to be more aware of the delight contained within in the mundane activities of my life and allow myself the space and time to linger in the enjoyment of the everyday, the ordinary stuff, things like getting dressed, preparing a meal, writing a note, or walking the dog. Perhaps as a consequence, I keep seeing delight everywhere, in fashion, in art, in words. Even something about these 1970s images are really delightful to me right now, inspiring me to be my best self, bold yet soft, embodying a kind of quirky quiet confidence.
